What's up with Stanford servers??

F@H has been trying to upload results for the past 12 hours without success. Also, alternately says it can't connect to assignment server or server has no appropriate work units! So I can't even start another protein.

I also lost two proteins in a row, one at 92% complete ( client shutting down, bad data). Then the next one at 19%, communication error. Now this latest one can't upload.

Am I just having a streak of bad luck? cry

Let's take a look at your FAHlog.txt file out here in the forum, just in case.

I'll paste a copy of log file when I get home this evening, I'm at work right now.

Re: What's up with Stanford servers??

I had some Folding trouble with the Intel iMac again.  I deleted the Work folder and the queue.dat file and restarted Folding in the Terminal directly.  cd ~/Library/FAH; ./fah6 -local -smp -advmethods -forceasm &

The WU had completed but my quick check didn't show any real progress for the next protein.

Stanford is slipping in more than 1 way.

My trouble too was an Intel iMac! This has been pretty consistant. My Intel MacBook Pro seems to run better although slower and my aging G4 just keeps chugging along never erring out. Too bad it only produces 200 points every 3 days.

http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html

Stanford page now shows the servers', depending on the protein.

I have no idea when this appeared.
