Alternative input device, need ideas.
I still have not hacked my ibook, but I have a better idea of what I would like to do. I've decided to essentially make a tablet by putting the guts and the screen into an acrylic enclosure.
I would like for it to serve as a second monitor and as a portable. What I'm wondering though, is if anybody has any ideas on an input device that can be integrated. The ultimate would be screen that I could write on with a stylus but not a touch screen(so I can rest my hand on it). This does not seem like an affordable option.
Here are a list of things I'm considering:
Carrying a wacom with it
small integrated joystick ( need software that, when the stick is top/left the pointer is top/left. As opposed to pushing it around the screen like the thinkpad nubbin.)
mouse pen , like this
some sort of optical device like head tracking (not there yet and still expensive)
So, ideas?

Ok, a more specific question.
Does anybody know of a way to replicate the function of a Wacom Cintiq?

Deliver pizzas at night for six months so you can afford a Wacom Cintiq.

I haven't checked on the state of the Wiimote drivers but there were interesting things happening last I saw... Its a BT device and it may have mouse drivers. However I wouldn't consider this a precision device in the least bit.
