i mac help
hey i have an imac and i was wondering if anyone new if i could put all the parts to it in a mac tower one of the g3, g or g5 ???

I'd pay a premium to put any computer's guts into one of those really old PowerPC beige Power Mac boxes from the early/mid 90s.

I'm sure it could be done as most of the beige PPC's seem to have more square feet than the SE form factor, plus you aren't even getting a monitor in there. Can somebody try this?

@ kr3wsk8ts, this is one of the best iMac conversions I've seen, so it'll be a good place to start. It's not exactly what you want to do, but it does provide a lot of useful information.

hey thanks but i have a newer imac the last generation i just shot the lcd screen and it broke so i was trying so find a cheap why to solve the problem and keep it looking like a mac. do you know if the parts would fit in a mac book or are they to big.
