Web site: Help!
So basically My Mom wants to set up a web site for her poetry. It wouldn't have very many images, and I highly doubt that it will get a lot of traffic. Also, neither one of us can do HTML, so we would be mainly using iWeb '06. So, is there a hoster that:
1. is cheap
2. has a fair amount of bandwith
3. allows domain names, at least one
4. fairly reliable
5. is fairly easy to upload pages to
Or, should I just host it on the Mac and get a Domain name?
Thanks for clicking.

Re: Web site: Help!
There are referral links in the FAQ.
But I used a cheap one called dayanahost (in the FAQ) that had some cheap packages with moderate storage space and generous bandwidth.

I found a cPanel Demo. And if you can't find a tutorial somewhere on the internet for HTML, I'm going to ask you to hand in your geek card

Thanks. TacoHTMLEdit seems like something along my line for an editor, with live previewing, free, and UB.

Re: Web site: Help!
If all you're looking for is an easy-to-use place for your mom to publish poetry, with the occasional image, i think even all of this is overkill. why not something like blogger:
https://www.blogger.com/start
or a wordpress.com blog?
The problem with something like iWeb for your purpose is that to publish, you would have to save to a new folder, then re-upload the WHOLE site for any kind of update. it takes a while.
if she definitely wants her own domain, then yeah, something like TacoHTMLEdit or iWeb may be the way to go - rapidweaver is also a possibility, but it's $50.

Re: Web site: Help!
Good point. A blog will be so much simpler.
I'm still gonna try to create a site on my Mac.
