I understand that Ledger was having trouble sleeping since taking on the role of the Joker. I have also heard that he spent a full month locked in his apartment doing nothing but researching and creating his Joker personna.
My question is, what kind of long-term effects does playing a role like the Joker have on a person who struggles with depression?

I donno, I chuckled at his statement. I guess I can see the irony in an anti-god, admitted homosexual person claiming that a god killed him because he was homosexual. Some people just get in a tizzy to quickly.

As I understand it, this Joker is supposed to be the messiah of psychopaths. There's none more devastatingly twisted.
Learning the character of such a person well enough to portray him convincingly... no matter how stable you are that has got to mess with your head.

The last report I saw, earlier this evening, mentioned finding 6 different prescription drugs on scene. Also a rolled-up $20 bill, tho there was no sign of obvious drug usage. It's off in the lab now.
At the least it seems to be accidental OD by mixing prescriptions. More will out over time, but everyone (except the Phelpses of the world) seem to have nothing but good things to say about him. That counts more with me than talent.

A loss, indeed, though I don't see a star in this young man. People start saying: "A rising star-actor has died, what a pity!" only because he's dead already. It is more difficult to get fame as a live professional actor.
I heard that Jack Nicholson was eager to get this role of Joker. And Ledger just snapped it up right from under his nose. We have at least one suspect now=) Redrum!

Now that I think about it, they probably wanted to use Heath's wide grin in a maniacal way.
