I didn't realize how stupid this thread had gotten in my absence.
SC and I are not "friends," whatever you mean by that.

Re: Heath Ledger Dead?
John Gibson of FOX News managed to find a particularly tasteless way to joke about Ledger's death.

Every time I've seen Gibson's show, the word "douchebag" kept popping into my mind.
I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

Re: Heath Ledger Dead?
I cruised through TMZ when I couldn't sleep at 4 am and they had Nicolson bitching about not getting the Joker role and that he said, "I told everybody not to take those sleeping pills, they're bad news!" - all the while puffing on a cig.
Hell, he didn't get the role because he's almost 20 years older and the director didn't want to make a Tim Burton movie, he wanted to make his own. They showed the poster for the movie that featured Heath's face as the Joker - not Batman's. And a short clip from the flick showed it was a seriously crazy role. That movie's going to be a hit because everyone's going to be morbidly fascinated about seeing Heath in the role that killed him.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

But are we going to see this film anyway? Will they finish it (or is it already finished)?

Already finished, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it to come out before this news.
Honestly, the news hasn't really changed how much I want to see it. I suppose I'm just not that morbid.

As usual, I'll see it whenever it comes out on Starz.
