Notepad++ and such

Ok so at work I love using Notepad++, but until my Mac Pro arrives I won't have bootcamp and/or parallels to run it under.

So I was wondering if there is an equivalent for OS X.  Granted I know BBEdit and TextMate seem similar, but they're not free.  Granted I'm surprised Notepad++ is free, though I don't know how many people work on it so that might contribute much the same as it does with Firefox, but I'm sure anyone who uses it agrees it's an awesome application for any programmer.  (Espeically when you have 15+ config files that need to be adjusted on the fly)

--Note--

I will try BBEdit lite tonight and see what that one feels like.

Re: Notepad++ and such

Smultron is another decent editor. I also looked for something similar to Notepad++ after using it at work, but I still like XCode the best for editing code, even if it's a single file rather than a project. I haven't looked at TextMate, but I'm not spending $60 for an editor I'd only use every once in a while, since the majority of my code is in a project anyway. (except for school, but since this is my last quarter, that won't be an issue for long)

Re: Notepad++ and such

It may be free, but the Mac GUI version is damn messy. My favorite bug so far is the fact that, at least under Leopard, you need to move the mouse while scrolling with the scroll wheel, otherwise it won't process the events. Also, the way that it opens a new instance for every document is downright annoying.

Haven't used the GUI version yet.

CSSEdit is another nice to tool to have.
