WTF just happened?
Just a few moments ago Mac|Life.com refused to load completely, sometime if I'm lucky getting a WAP-looking page. I pinged maclife.com and had 50% packet loss. oh, and all other sites worked and full speed according to speedest.net.

That would be consistent with my first guess.

Don't you have satellite internet? Maybe there was a sunspot.

I had the satellite and the wireless messed up before. we have wireless, I believe EV-DO.
