Re: What a TURKEY! He wants $800 for a sealed Apple II Game!
My "pride and joy" is also a copy of Ultima for the Apple //. It means a lot to me.

In my opinion, this guy gets major props for having the guts to do that.

It must be a fake - the box says, "Ultima I". Who puts a "I" behind the first of anything? Shouldn't it just be called "Ultima"? I think he faked it.
Now excuse me, I am off to the movies - we are going to see Meet the Spartans I, and eat some junior mints 1.0.

eBay secret - with one of a kind stuff, start high buy it now.
Chances are it won't sell, but it does often enough to more than make up for the listing fee for the times it doesn't.
Some people have a psychological disorder - if it's expensive, they think it is worth it.

Ultima I continued to be sold after the sequels were released and the box packaging changed to reflect that it is now "I". Wiki would suggest that the one being sold on ebay is not the original 1980 Ultima, but a 1986 re-code.
I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

Correct. If it's not from California Pacific, it's not the original but a re-issue.
You might be able to justify $800 for that version since CP didn't sell all that many copies before going under, but Origin's re-issue outsold the original by a vast margin, so those are easy to find and not really worth anywhere near that much.
