Re: Concentrated assholiness from the prayer thread.

OK.
Notice mrreet has been banned for one week.
Let's move on from here.

I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Lifeline. I got a call center in Pakistan, and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

Since mreet2001 cannot reply to any comments made here, perhaps there should be at least a temporary lock on this thread.

And you had to crap on his thread and essentially be the agnostic/atheist version of say... Jehovah's Witnesses... inappropriately trying to shove your world view on others in a manner that is just as obnoxiously proselytizing as Christianity will ever be.

Shame on you.  Seriously.sad

FYI, the person I consider one of the most intelligent and eloquent posters here is a JW.

Nothing wrong with that.  They just happen to be the most over the top in proselytizing for their faith compared to the majority of other Christian sects.  I am invariably polite when I get a knock on the door, take a Watchtower, and wish the folks a good day.  Why?  Because they are doing what they believe God wants them to do and I am not going to be an smurf and tell them to get lost.

Around here, it seems like a lot of the agnostic/athiest sorts feel the need to spread their world view in the same sort of manner... and I am just saying that it pisses me off.  It costs nothing to respect other people's beliefs and not feel the need to belittle them for it.

I hope it didnt come off as me being down on JW's... I just picked them because they do tend to be a little more aggressive in their recruiting efforts.

Dude you just don't have a clue do you?  No one wants your drivel in this thread.

There is no freedom of religion unless we have freedom from religion.

Nobody made you enter this thread.

I agree to a degree. mrreet was an ass, but keeping the thread open for attack is sort of kicking him while he's down.

Then again there's also a discussion of religion and the responses it should/does bring that does not necessarily concern itself with mrreet2001.

Is it assholiness?  Assholism?  Assholishness?

I just got here and I can't for the life of me figure out why this thread is still open.

The end.
