I Can't Wait!!!!
I cannot wait to graduate from high school. I am going on to college to major in Aerospace Engineering. I just have to choose which college to attend. My choices are:
Purdue University w/ a $7,000/year grant
The Florida Institute of Technology w/ a $12,000/year grant
Iowa State University w/ a $5,000/year grant
The cool thing is that I didnt have to apply for any of the grants, they're just giving me the money!
BTW, I live in Chicago.
Which do I choose?
I already know that I a for sure getting a MacBook Pro. But I'm going to wait until a MAJOR update before I buy.

I know...pretty lame, but still funny.

First:
Eh? this is your first post?
Second, Aerospace engineering; awesome. If my plans work out, I could be flying what you're designing in a couple years.

I wasn't trying to be a showoff, I just want to know what others think.

Re: I Can't Wait!!!!
Purdue University would be my choice.
how do the grants compare to the cost of tuition?

Re: I Can't Wait!!!!
the $12,000/year from Florida is really nice because I'm from Chicago and flying back and forth will cost a lot. Purdue's out of state tuition is ridiculous compared to their in state fee. Basically, I'll take anything I can get. I'm still waiting to see what kind of financial aid I'm going to get from each of the schools. Purdue would be nice because they just built a new engineering building dedicated to Neil Armstrong.

Re: I Can't Wait!!!!
I am an undergrad at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT/Florida Tech). I highly recommend it. We're definitely not the cheapest, but if you want an education in Aerospace Engineering, getting one on the space coast is second-to-none.
You mentioned the costs of flying from Florida to Chicago; did you know FIT also has a flight school? You can add flight training to your degree for a few extra bucks if you want, and there's nothing like seeing the sunrise in Florida from 10,000 feet. My avatar is me landing at Melbourne International Airport in one of FIT's planes.
Shoot me a PM if you'd like additional information, and I'd be happy to give you a tour if you come down here to check out the campus.
