About the iMac G3's internal speakers....
Can I use them as external by connecting them to a stereo miniplug?
If so, how?
I googled, by I couldn't find anything..

I'd imagine it would work.
Try it and find out?
Seems to me all you'd have to do would be to yank 'em out, plug them into a mini plug lead headphone-style, and then attach them. Add an amplifier if you need to.

Ok, I did it. They "work". But sure enough they don't sound very loud. The iTunes equalizer does help A LOT, but I can't use it for the whole system.

Probably needs some kind of amplifier to work above headphone level.

Yeah... but I think that would be too much trouble/not worth it.
They still sound a lot better than the mini's internal speaker, even if I have to turn the volume all the way up.
Oh, yeah, I'm using them on a mini.
I will most likely buy real external speakers eventually, but I wanted to try and... "recycle" the old iMac's speakers.
