Well, he does still have the machine. Apparantly he's addicted to Morrowind. (Still hates Windows, though. Keeps crashing despite the fact that the ONLY things he runs on it is Morrowind).

Morrowind is a good game - it is very good!
Supposingly, it will even work in Parallels or Fusion - to say nothing of Boot Camp. I used to play Morrowind a lot, but now I have Oblivion

Re: Dear everybody, who uses mac, tell, please, is it a truth?
My folks just bought a new Macbook. I migrated all their info from their 4 year old iMac and the Macbook has become the main computer, smaller and faster, with zero problems. Except now they can fold it up and take it with them anywhere. The iMac hasn't even been turned on in weeks. They are eagerly awaiting the availability of Time Capsule to have both computers running at different ends of the house with a backup plan.
If you look around the table and can't tell who the sucker is, it's you.

I love Apple
Sure it crashes, but I dont think it crashes as bad as a PC, it will tell you when it freezes and u can restart it within seconds. Just please trust everyone on this, you are far better off on a mac

Actually, not everyone here thinks this way, but I noticed a trend that people tend to oppose Parallels or other virtualization, which is pretty handy, to my mind:)

yes they can crash.
yes they can give you probs.
yes they can lose your data.
my personal experiences?
no data lost since 1977
no HD crashes.
I have...
freeze an app rarely.
forced restart extremely rare.
trash emptied only when I remember to ( thanks for the reminder )
backups and maintenance are the key.
you just dont have to do the maintenance part as often on a Mac.

I just got rid of some viruses in my XP partition. Now I get this lovely message every time I start up XP telling me it can't find one of the infected files that was deleted by my anti-virus program.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.
Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

just hit "Start", then "Run" and type 'msconfig' and hit OK.
Click the 'Startup' tab and go through the list, remove the offending file from startup that windows is complaining about.
Should do the trick.
