Auctioneer on a Mac?

Has anyone successfully installed auctioneer on a Mac computer.  I haven't been able to do it and would like to know how. If it is possible could you please send instructions or tell me where installation instructions exist. I saw some on a site called norganna.org but they were directed at PC users.
Thanks,
Lou

Re: Auctioneer on a Mac?

You just put it in your Add Ons folder like any other add on and start WoW. I've never ran into any problems with running it.

Make sure you ave all the folders for it.

Also, just to be safe, check how much RAM you have for addons.

< not groid, but....

Kirk, go to your Add-On's screen and there's a box to enter in how much RAM you want to allocate
to your Add-Ons. I think the default is 32 megs. Haven't looked in a while because I bumped
mine up and it seems to work fine.

Re: Auctioneer on a Mac?

Thanks for the advice. Downloaded Auctioneerpack -4 and loaded it in addon and it is working. Also had to add Stubby and Enh Tooltip so make sure you download the Acutioneerpack instead of only the program.

Re: Auctioneer on a Mac?

Also, if you set the Addon Ram Allocation to 0, it will dynamically resize the ram allocation size for you. This is the easiest unless you have Ram issues (ie. not enough RAM). I personally don't recommend running WoW on any machine with less than 1.5gb of ram 2.0gb recommended. WoW works best when it can keep all those graphics and files in Ram. -nn

Re: Auctioneer on a Mac?

I have WOW on my Mac at home, and on a university lab PC at school (Shh!). I've noticed that the "Post Auctions" tab is missing from the Mac version.  I mean, posting auctions using the item evaluation tab works fine (mostly) so it is still functional, just curious about the disparity in the OS versions.

my Add-On's screen doesn't have that.
I am assuming you are referring to the AddOns button lower left after log on and before you choose your toon to load.

but I do get the occasional error on addons which I then must ignore.

I think they deleted this option a few patches ago.  Now it uses memory as needed, or something.

That is probably because you're responding to a thread that is a year old. tongue
