Printing from Windows with shared printer
I have my hp deskjet 5150 hooked up to my powerbook, and printer sharing is set up. I can print fine from my friends macbook pro and my powerbook. However, when I try to set it up to print from my desktop that has windows vista, I can't get it to work.
I set up the printer, using deskjet 5550 driver because 5150 isnt there for some reason (even though I had the printer hooked straight up to the pc and it worked). However, when I try and print, and I set up and select the 5150 on my mac, it never prints. I can look at the printer in printer preferences and it says that "Access denied, unable to connect" on the printer.
Any ideas?
If you asked me to name the three scariest threats facing the human race, I would give the same answer that most people would: nuclear war, global warming and Windows.

Wrong printer driver?
