Remote Desktop Connection
Hi All,
Just have a quick question. I am moving back to MAC from PC with the new Intel IMAC. My wife uses Remote Desktop Connection to log into her work computer from home. Does the new IMAC have anything simular that she can use to do this?
Also looking into Bootcamp to run Windows if no other option availiable.
Thanks in advance for the help

Re: Remote Desktop Connection
Only reason for needing to have Windows on the Mac is for all my existing games. Alot not made for Mac and don't want to reinvest more $'s to replace.
Thanks for the info MacMonkey. Yeah!! It is a bit pricey

I'm using CoRD at workto login to remote machines at our other locations. Rock solid, love it.
Welcome to the Mac Side too!

Don't know. Find it at : http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/r … fault.mspx
I haven't used the CoRD program others are suggesting, but I have used rdesktop and found it to be faster / more stable than the official Microsoft program. (rdesktop is the unix / linux Remote Desktop client, and CoRD is based on rdesktop)
I'd say try them both and see which works better for your needs.

Re: Remote Desktop Connection
I use ARD 3 (which I paid for).
It works great.
Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection leaves a lot to be desired. For one thing it can't create a list of clients to connect to. You must have each client as it's own connection profile in it's own file. I also find it hard to use as it is not overly good at providing useable feedback in case of error. It's a poor implementation and feels rushed and not quite done.

ya, but the OS is SandBoxed inside the Mac; if there is a serious error the Mac will just disconnect. Not so with an Application.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
The MS Remote Desktop application can be downloaded from MS. It works fine.
