Apple Keyboards Have stupid Glitch
The last Apple keyboard I had (previous-gen wireless) has this problem as well as my new one (the current wired Apple one.) The thing is whenever I press the 0 or 1 on the numberpad, it disables mouse clicking; the cursor will move, but I can't click anything or bring up a context menu. I have an old Logitech optical, but it happened with our Apple wireless mouse too. This always requires a restart. Any explanationsremedies for this annoying glitch?
This occurred when we had 10.3, and still does in 10.4.10.

Re: Apple Keyboards Have stupid Glitch
Considering that I've never heard of this hardware problem, and you're experiencing it with two different keyboards, I suspect a problem with third party software.
That said, you need to give us the standard tech help info:
What computers are being use with what keyboards, what system software are the computers running, what versions of the keyboard drivers, etc?

Hmmm, my page up button is mushy when I push it. I do know why though, Dr. Pepper just doesn't sit well with keyboards.

No problem here.

Second-gen PPC iMac G5, running 10.4.10. According to System Profiler, keyboard is version 0.67. That's all I know.

Re: Apple Keyboards Have stupid Glitch
Yeah, sorry, I tried replicating this issue with an iMac G5, and Intel iMac and a Mac Pro, all with their various versions of the Apple Keyboard and their mice, and none behaved like you explained, I think Aqua is right, have you tried updating your logitech mouse drivers? and if you are just using OS X's built-in drivers have you Tried using the Logitech Mouse drivers (if there are any for your mouse)?

Re: Apple Keyboards Have stupid Glitch
You might want to try installing Apple's latest keyboard drivers:

If this doesn't work, I bet you have a conflict with some third party software. As Eric noted, try updating your logitech software... that software is notoriously evil.

Re: Apple Keyboards Have stupid Glitch
It shouldn't cause this issue, but check to see if "Mouse Keys" is turned on -- go to Universal Access in System Preferences, & go to the Mouse tab. If "Mouse Keys" is on, try turning it off.
It doesn't cause the mouse buttons to be ignored right now for me, but at some point in the past, I recall having an issue at least similar to this if Mouse Keys was accidentally enabled on me. It was quite likely caused by a third-party driver conflict, as noted.
If you have tried updating the driver & it didn't help, you could try applying the "combo updater" for 10.4.10. If you normally just used Software Update to apply the OS updates, you can download the PPC 10.4.10 Combo updater here.
