Scan/Edit/Access Memory for Game Cheats

On Tiger to scan/and edit memory (for programming and game cheating), I would just do sudo sysctl -w kern.tfp.policy=1 to disable the intel macs security feature that disables memory scanning/editing, But that no longer works in leopard, is there any way to enable memory editing/scanning in leopard for memory editors like "The Cheat"?

Thanks, Jeremie

Don't cheat. There are millions of geeks that pour blood and sweat into getting those unlockables, beating levels, etc. and it isn't fair if they try for months to unlock a anchient Kryobian Dozuki or whatever and another guy just waltzes in with a hack and takes it.

Re: Scan/Edit/Access Memory for Game Cheats

Its perfectly okay if someone wants to cheat on a game if its single player.  Cheating on multiplayer is lower than low, unless all parties are doing it and agree to it.

That said, not sure how to fix your problem, but hopefully someone here does!  up

Re: Scan/Edit/Access Memory for Game Cheats

I don't play multiplayer games except on the Wii. This is just for single player games. It's really not a moral issue. I'm just really frustrated that I can't find the correct terminal command to give me absolute control over my mac. Thanks again to anyone who can help!!

Oh. then in that case: Leopard uses a more complex security system that is probably going to take some time to unlock.
