how do you open up the 60W magsafe adapter?(repair)

I just got a new magsafe cable to replace the torn/melted one I had to solder 3 times before it couldn't be fixed anymore, but how do you take apart the white plastic square to put the new cable in? I stared at it a few minutes and couldn't figure out this rubix cube, except that maybe I have to pry it apart the way you open up an ipod.

Mine melted, went down to the mac store, they had one for sale.  I'm so smurfing tired of the MBP battery and power cord.

Sorry if this sounds like stating the obvious, but why don't you guys just buy 3rd party equipment, instead of Apple's?

I know when I needed replacements for my iBook G4, someone on this forum suggested NewerTech. I just checked their site today, and under MacBook/MacBook Pro batteries, it says "Coming Soon". Btw, their battery and adapter for my iBook work great, no problems yet.

Just my 2 cents,
SH

Because Apple has patents for the adapter, which they aren't licensing yet.

Thanks for clicking.
