Corret in UT3 made me cry. Since UT3 is much closer to '99 than anything else. The new Corret felt like old times. 'Twas great!

You will be setting up a UT '99 server on MA3, right? Plenty o' resources. smile

I think having UT99 on MA3 would be the type of thing that would be great to throw up for a weekend or so, with a good amount of notice beforehand. But yeah, it's not something that people are really going to play on nowadays.

True to a point, but the resources are ample, prob. sufficient to have 4-5 games installed concurrently, since there isn't enough traffic on MA3 that there'd be any real chance that more than 2 would need serving at the same time. I think all three UTs and both Halos could be installed without choking anything.

Re: Seven years ago...

Geez a post about UT99!  Brings back fond memories of 'Ol Bondi and her 6MB ATI video.  I think UT made it yelp and then run and hide in a corner wink

Looking back at those times, alot has changed.  I was still living in Canada, designing graphics for the 'Mac Addict OSX Supersite' and using 'Ol Bondi to host the odd UT game.  Fragging the editors was fun.

Now, moved south (twice) and am working for Apple and UT99 just won't run on this MBP.

Good times!  Fragging Sypher was my fav.  He was uncanny with his aim.

I would so play Ut99 again if I had a machine that could play it.  Although, maybe via bootcamp...

Re: Seven years ago...

UT for PC can sometimes be found for under $15 alone, and the Unreal Anthology, with everything before UT3, is $30. Should run fine on modern hardware (Levi excepted wink).

Might as well add GoW PC for all 3 of us [so far] who have it. smile Then Kirk's thread for [MA] GoW would need re-stickying. wink

Since it's apparently up, organizing a UT '99 Event is fine by me. (Doubly so since NC'll be on the sidelines all whaa)

I got the goty edition for $10 new -- this was many years ago.  I've pretty shied away from the series (don't really have a good reason) until recently.  I really like UT3, though.  Loads of fun, and it's really fluid for a game with those kind of visuals.  I'm surprised it did so poorly at the box office.

I got UT99 on my PC, I just don't run it tongue.

Not because it doesn't run but because all my mods are on my Macs.

Doesn't hardly change a thing. We'll run only mods (and wombats) and you'll still be all whaa

Now get on XBL and don't be late. Leg H3 tonight.
