Safari acting strangely?
Writing on forums such as this, the cursor sometimes takes on a mind of it's own - jumping around, so letter order in words gets jumbled... occasionally, if I'm scrolled down to the end of a page, it will automatically scroll back up to the top, and when I try to scroll back down, it will let me, but as soon as I release the mouse, back up we go. Also, entering passwords (Hotmail, most recently) it again jumbles letter order, making it difficult to sign in.
Tried to talk to the wife on ichat, also, and jumbled letter order there, too, as well as occasionally on MSWord.
A virus of some sort springs to mind... but I was under the impression that was highly unlikely.
Any ideas? I'd like to try what i can do myself before I pay the tech guys $$

Re: Safari acting strangely?
Since you are having this problem in more than Safari, I don't think that Safari is the problem.
Perhaps something is pressing the up-arrow key on your keyboard? That can jumble things when typing in because the up command may be moving the cursor location to the start of the typing field. Can you try another keyboard (at least temporarily)?

Re: Safari acting strangely?
i'd say mouse or keyboard problem. you might have something stuck in your keyboard that is preventing the keys from popping back up.
also, did this just start happening? someone may have pulled a prank on you and plugged one of these into your computer

Re: Safari acting strangely?
Now that is an evil prank to play!!
However, as i am on a laptop, it is unlikely. I'm going to see about my up/down keys..
Thank you for the help.
