XBOX 360/original Wii case?

Would it be possible to gut an XBOX and turn it into a hardshell case for a Wii, with room for controllers, nunchucks, and games?

yes, but you're going to need a lot of duct tape.

Its kinda hard to understand what your trying to do...? Put a Xbox inside a Wii case? But a Wii inside a Xbox case? I modded Xbox's for years so I know a few things...

turn an XBOX (perferably original) into a Wii case.
I thought of this when I got my Wii bag that carries the Wii, two motes/chucks, and is still smaller than the box.

The motherboard in a Xbox 1 is quite big, and unless you get some iceburg 4 pro's your gonna need the two huge heatsinks. Ontop of that, you'd need a Pico-PSU, and probably a laptop HDD. There is almost no way you could fit the DVD drive into the case. From sizing, its impossible to get the stock drive in. A simple BIOS flash would eliminate the need for a drive though.

what the hell are you talking about ... he wants to turn a xbox into a storage unit (ie put the wii in there for safe keeping) for his wii and accessories.

Oh and future yes it should work ... you would need some hinges, a dremel type device, some screws, and some epoxy ... and maybe a latch if you want one ... I don't think you would be able to fit all that stuff in a 360 case but there should be more than enough room in an xbox 1 case ... for the sake of historical gaming preservation please use an already broken xbox.

That's likely the only way to get one cheap, but I've a hunch breaking a working unit would make him that much happier.

All told, tho, it strikes me as impractical, and far more trouble than it's worth.

I have my old one. and if I become adventurous I'll turn the guts into a working one with a modded case.

ya I'll try a dremel and the lot; i wan't to turn the XBOX into a case where all the cables for GameCube controllers, power, etc. are routed to the locations of the original (with a PSU and a cooling system, preferably) so i can use it while closed.

My bad future... I guess you can say I've modded Xboxs so long that I interpret things a little differently than others might. Your original expression made me think you wanted to run a xbox from your Wii. My bad.
