I sold out to Microsoft.
Actually,
They are filming a commercial here at my studio. They are taking down all the G5 towers, MacBook Pro's, 23" Apple displays and replacing it with MS products.
They are also taking out my PS3 and Wii and replacing it with an XBox and I have to pretend to like windows and enjoy the Xbox while they film me playing it. I think I will act like AngryGermanKid.

Re: I sold out to Microsoft.
install the BSOD screensaver on all computers and act like you're a tad too enthusiastic.
Oh, and outright lies like:
I once had a Mac and it was horrible. The User interface was garish, everything was counterintuitive, and it crashed all the time. Now with my new Vista computer everything just works and I never have to worry about viruses.

I'm thinking of some advice Joey gave someone on an episode of Friends when I say, "Play it super gay".

Is there any way to flash a subliminal message across the screen (via vista or xbox) and have it say "macs rule pc's drool" or something like that? May at least convert the film crew

Re: I sold out to Microsoft.
set one of the computers in the background to loop an apple commercials.
tell the director it would be nice to have some movement in the background. you just conveniently forget to inform then of what exactly will be playing.

Set a screenshot of an apple desktop as the background image on one of the windows machines.

Or vice versa, after switching one of the Macs back (which is hidden, of course)

Re: I sold out to Microsoft.
Man, they brought soooo much stuff to our little studio today!
First, they brought an army of tow trucks to move all the cars parked on the street so that they can park all their production trucks and buses outside. Then while they were unloading all their gear, they quickly filled out my studio with their stuff and totally took over the hallway with the extra stuff. There must have been about 40+ people at this shoot and the only Windows computers running were the ones that they HAD to bring for the shoot.
That was funny on its own. The computers had to be running vista if it were to be on camera, and then all the camera gear that they were allowed to use in the shoots, were not plug and play compatible with any of the vista laptops and desktops that they planted on my desk(s). They were pretty frustrated with that.
Then, when they were filming the gaming part, they brought over an XBox 360, but no one brought any games for it. Ha! So they sent someone home who lived close by and took some games from their pad and all they had was Halo 2 and Fight Night 3. Regardless, the shoot went pretty well. They ended up using a lot of the studio space for many more shots than they though they'd be using. Even the entry way foyer area and made a make shift back wall office thing and had a guy and a girl game on that.
I am meeting with them again this thursday to act out some scenes at a different location. Seems pretty cool so far, the crew is pretty anti MS themselves, so all worked out. If you want to see some production pictures, Here they are in my Aperture, .Mac Gallery

If it escaped notice, and if any viewer noticed who wasn't already a Mac user, at most they'd assume it was Vista. They might even be intrigued and buy that.
...the best laid plans, the law of unintended consequences... ah, well.
You could try sneaking up behind a PC and making devil's horns over the screen.

Re: I sold out to Microsoft.
No one pointed out that Halo 2 isn't even a 360 game but an XBox 1 game that runs on 360s in backwards compat? They'll need to shoot that over, I think. You'd think a pro crew would remember to bring some games for the gaming segment.

I was thinking the same thing.
I love how fake this commercial will be. After gutting the studio and replacing everything, the only 2 things that remain original are the couch and screen. Maybe the little tv stand too.

Re: I sold out to Microsoft.
The moral of this story, or what will be partially seen: Windows graphics designers just give up and buy new systems when there are problems with the old ones, and they mostly play XBOX. on a big screen TV.
