4th Dimension - Converting an old database to run in OS X
I'm working with an accounting system called A4 that is written for 4D. A4 is over twenty years old, but still functions adequately for the company I work for, especially because it is easy to modify.
Currently, A4 will not run under the Mac OS X version of 4D (but works fine in Classic mode), which was fine until Apple's Intel transition. The Intel transition is just now being made here, and although 4D 6.5.9 runs fine under SheepShaver,
it is only a stopgap measure. The reason A4 does not work under OS X is because the plug-in commands (i.e., commands added by plug-ins) used in A4 are not compatible with OS X.
My job is to modify the database to work under OS X. To do this, I need to know how to find what plug-ins are installed in the database. Does anyone know how to do this?
