Fontographer 4.7
Where can I get a copy of this software?
I am willing ot buy it, I just can't get to it.
All the download links give me a "fatal error" message when it gets to the page.
I really ant this software and cannot find it.

Re: Fontographer 4.7
Fontographer is gone.
Consider this instead: http://www.fontlab.com/index.php?option … temid=106/
Especially since http://www.adobe.com/products fontographer redirects to Fontlab... I'm guessing that's an official endorsement.

Re: Fontographer 4.7
I thought there was a free app that does the same thing?
Thanks for clicking.

Free font editor? If you find one please let everyone know. I've seen free converters, but never free editors. You could check on Ebay for a used copy of Fontographer thats how I got my version.
Heres a link to version 3.5. It will run in classic but you'd need a floppy drive to install it.

Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot.

Re: Fontographer 4.7
This information is wrong! FontLab bought and updated Fontographer to make it a Universal application. Go to the FontLab site and you'll see Fontographer in the offerings. (The big weakness of Fontographer is that it only works with Type 1 and TrueType fonts. OpenType fonts are the wave of the future, although the other modes will be around for a long time.) (FontLab does work with OpenType, but it's mind-blowingly non-intuitive; the manual is incomprehensible to this little brain, and the many, many options and rules make it an app I avoid as much as possible.)

How do you turn off those damned annoying sounds?
Grandfatherly advice: You can drink 'em pretty, but you can't drink 'em smart.

I think there was one in one of the older MacAddict magazines, sometime in between the switch to Mac|Life and a year before it.
