sad  When I go to put a picture on my profile, it will not take it.
No matter what size I make the image, it comes back and says
the download is too large.  What can I do?

Re: Avatar

What size is your avatar, both in kilobytes and dimensions?

Re: Avatar

Resize it?

It's not only the size in pixels that matters (80x80), but the size in Kb (<6)

Post it here and someone (or I) will do it for you.

I recommend GraphicConverter for this.

Just a tip, if the thread is over 2 months it is probably a good idea to just let the thread be (ie: don't bump it).

Eh, they'll just be discouraged if they post in a bunch of threads where the OP is gone. Can come up with any number of ways someone can get discouraged. tongue

Yeah, this specific part of the forums never did have a load of posts. I have no clue why it is so high up in the forum list.

Re: Avatar

I don't see a problem with this thread being bumped. This forum doesn't get a lot of traffic anyway and he posted a relevant link. Besides, the thread wasn't that old.

Re: Avatar

I'm just saying that for old threads where the OP isn't likely around anymore it is probably more productive to make a new thread that addresses the issue as a guild or a helpful tip. That way people don't start talking to a wall is all.

Whenever I've asked that question, it's always been answered with something about the forums being owned by the magazine.

Drawing people to the forums by putting the most-popular forum groups first would be my strategy.
