10.5 on Eee PC
Hey (i hope this goes here)
I've seen a few articles like:

That show/explain how to install OSX on the EeePC. Has anyone here done this?
I am finding that while I really do enjoy the little EeePC, its getting harder and harder to do without my iTunes... I would like to install OS X on my EeePC... just wondering if anyone here has had much/any success with it.

Unfortunately its illegal to install OS X on a non apple branded computer. Sorry but i dont think youll find much luck here... You may want to read into OSX86 incase it ever does become legal.

It is not illegal. At worst, you're violating the EULA. However, similar legal precedents have rejected the EULA, and legal experts have reached the same conclusion. If you wish to err on the side of caution, you can satisfy the "Apple-labeled system" requirement of the EULA by applying an Apple sticker to the Eee PC.

Which are bundled with most if not all Apple products. Maybe even the OS discs, but I have never upgraded a Mac so I don't know.

Sure you can, just don't tell Apple.
Frankly, though; I'm not sure why anyone would want to. The whole point of OS X is that you don't have to futz with it to get it to work. If you are going to have to monkey with the OS internals, why not just run Linux?

I'd rather not run Windows, plain and simple. I know Pariah has no problems but good golly I'd rather stay away (far away) from that virus ridden flea bag (Windows, not Pariah).
Having OS X on the Eee PC would be amazing for me personally. I would love having the iTunes software on this machine. Sure it would take some work to get it going. But I think I would enjoy not only the challenge but the end result.
never mind that OSX is cheaper than windows xp.
Oh and this Eee PC already has an apple logo on the case. I have it running extended desktop with the apple default background (circa 10.3) so it kinda almost maybe looks like its a mac...
