Why is it that I still can't find a Wii?
It's not X-Mas anymore. So there shouldn't be a mad rush for them.
It's not the Wii's first year of existence anymore. Nintendo should be able to make plenty of them by now.
I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. Big enough to have plenty of stores to carry the Wii, podunk enough to not have a bunch of crazed Nintendo fans.
Why can't I find one and better yet, why isn't there such an abundance of them by now so I can get a cheaper used one since that's the only way my poor southern butt is going to be able to afford it.

I just got a wii, and I'm not sure where to find this number, and where to add yours.  I hate the thought of RTFM, but perhaps that's what I need to do.

I'm a Wii newbie, so sorry for the stupid question.  But do I have to enter each of these numbers manually? 

I wish there were a way one could just make his number known to others, they could each enter it, and I could approve of the relationship (kind of like Facebook, I guess).

Guess I'll be attaching a keyboard to the Wii to do this.  Does that work?

How about Mario Kart Wii numbers?  Mine is 0474-2256-1491.

Again, seems like they could have created something more elegant as far as this number necessity.  Like use the same number as the Wii console number, then have the person select which person is actually going to be "driving."

Does no one else think this whole trading numbers in another medium in order to meet up online is more than a bit kludgy (not sure if that's the word, but it seems to fit my sentiments).  Think sending a message to Nintendo suggesting a FB-like friend request routine would do any good?

EDIT:  I sent a message to the fine folks at Nintendo expressing my desires about a friend-finding addition to the Wii OS.  I'll report back what, if anything, I find out.
