I Can't Concentrate
So I've been working on learning myself some Objective-C, but every time I set down to do some work I just can't focus. The TV distracts me, the Internet distracts me, and people coming and going distract me. Unfortunately I need the internet to answer questions so I can't eliminate that particular distraction.
Recommend me a place to go sit down and get some work done.

I personally find strip joints to be a good place to sit down without distraction.

Seriously - I have the same problem you do. Even libraries can be distracting - but they are less distracting than anywhere else I've tried.

Sit in the bathroom and turn the shower on. The white noise it creates is soothing.
Do not do this if you live in an area currently experiencing a water shortage.

Also, libraries don't have food.
It's less people coming and going than the particular kind of activities going on outside. Neighbors playing catch in front of my apartment windows, other neighbors blasting Guitar Hero upstairs, and all sorts of random people yelling for no reason in the parking lot (a bunch of douchebags live around me).

That's a great idea, as long as it's a fairly quiet place and you go there during off-hours.
Oh, and it would need a wi-fi connection, too!
A church is also a good place to go. Often there will be a parlor with comfy chairs, too.

That's what I did today, spent 8 hours at work studying. Left the free wireless alone since it's a distraction. The odd person saying hello every hour or so was enough to keep me diverted but not distracted.
And I only had one pint, bat.

The bar sounds great, I'll have to give that a go. A bit of alcohol has always helped me code somewhat.
