Halo

Old game, I know..

Anyone know where I can get a new copy from, please?  Prefer a hard, rather than a download.

Thanks.

Re: Halo

IMG's Macgamestore comes to mind.

Yes, it's still played hereabouts.

Ed: scratch GoGamer. Appears to be gone.

Amazon also often carries things llike that.

Re: Halo

Amazon has it, but at

4 used & new from $78.00

...one might suggest Boot Camp if that's an option. Halo PC is $20 or less.

Hell, even the IMG store only offers the UB for $5. You need a copy first to use that.. it's getting scarce (Mac Halo, that is).

Anyone else got a lead?

Re: Halo

Silly of me not to specify, but I'm looking for a Mac version.  I'm beginning to think, though, that the PC version would be easier and cheaper to find (I am bootcamped)
I currently have a 'borrowed' version, and it doesn't support my controller, so I was just going to buy the real thing, and off to the races..  Perhaps going to the dark side will be the easiest option..

Thanks, All!

Re: Halo

I believe you can still buy it at physical Apple Stores.

Mac Pro, Two 3GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, NVIDIA 8800GT & ATI X1900 XT, 3 GB RAM, Leopard and Vista Business 64-Bit.
Macbook Air, 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo, 80GB HD, 2GB RAM, Leopard and Windows XP.

If your machine is DX9-compliant, that'd tip it for me. Mac Halo, AFAIK, still doesn't quite match Halo PC, which has some graphics goodness Mac Halo lacks, tho I'd like to see them side by side, latest versions.

Not a major difference, but also the Halo Mac UB (version 2.0) had some issues on some machines. It was patched twice after that, to 2.0.2, but we have little concrete info on that except it looks good, runs fine on MM's MP.

MacSoft's info on 2.0.1 http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/stor … leID=15025

2.0.2 http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/story.php?ID=15268

You need to watch yourself and how you talk about the Wii.

Re: Halo

Sometimes good ol' reductio ad absurdum still works best. I don't have a gripe with it, I simply find it's not a product for me. Lesser means having failed, I picked up the trusty 25 pound sledge and... http://homepage.mac.com/oatmeal/MAF/maxes/nail-on-head.gif

Re: Halo

MacSoft can't give you a new one? The game is almost unavailable. Maybe if you mailed in the CD, they would send a replacement. I suspect the OP has simply gone Darkside by now, but someone could give it a happy home.
