Blackberry Pearl 8100 cannot receive via bluetooth
I have T-Mobile. My lady has AT&T. We both have Blackberry 8100's. They can send files via bluetooth with no problem. But they cannot receive anything via bluetooth. Also, I can send and receive multimedia messages to other phones and what-not, and I'm not on a special plan. Just a basic MyFaves plan. My lady, cannot - AT&T does not support it w/o special plan, I guess.
Every other bluetooth phone I've had did not require a special plan. I have used Cingular (now AT&T), T-Mobile, Cricket. They all worked with the phones I had, which were the following: Motorola RAZR (first one, v1, I guess), Nokia something-or-other, T-Mobile Dash.
So what's with the Blackberry Pearl? My BBP is brand new. My lady's is the one I used when I had Cingular. Have never been able to receive anything via bluetooth with either of them. Says, 'device does not have the necessary service' or something like that.
I use this method to send MP3's to my phone to use for ringtones. (chopped files, about half a MB).
