CLAN SUPPORT ALL MEMEBERS MUST READ
ok I just read some journals form ppl who got beta, and the clan thing we need a minimum of NINE players to make one, and we have to sign em up at the same time, the first nine. So we gotta plan this and make sure we have 9 ppl with the expansion. We also have to choose a BNET cheiftain, I nominate myself only because it requires little admin work, unliek on here(thanks gorid, nice to have you back again) and Im on more than anyone else, though I assume Bundy will be on more, and if there is a way to setup multiple chiefs then theres no problem, just Groid, me and Wang (Lt. Alright here is the dealie with the clan thing.
While it is still a work in progress there are many great things about it. One when the final verson does come out, everyone will be able to track the clans wins and losses. It sorta shows how good we are as a clan overall.
With leadership it is pretty simple. There are 4 ranks:
1. Chieftan: the top man. You can only have one. Has the ability to disband the entire clan and promote peeps [or demote].
2. Shaman: Sort of like a leutenit (I can't spell). Can do everything the chieftan can besides kick people out of the clan (LT. can still promote or demote people) or disband clan.
3. Grunt: Basic Member. Can contribute to the clan's win/loss record
4. Peon: Newb Member. Does not effect win/loss record. Has no smurfing-rights-what-so-ever. If you are not one of the first 9 members you have to be a Peon for your first week of "clanship".
But yeah, you get a special gold title next to your name in all the chat-rooms (it has you abbrivated clan's name on it). I imagine Blizzard will incorperate some sort of Tornament based around clans (very likely).
The 9 members at start minimum will probably be lower for the final release (or sooner) due to the fact that many peeps are bitching about it.

I forgot to metion, you can only be in one clan at a time, AND it is hard as hell to get out of a clan. You have to get the Chief to do it and my Chief won't let any of us go.

On a serious note....
The 9 player limit will be an issue for a clan the size as ours. However, this is only for BNET's ladder. This is NOT the end-all-be-all of clan organization.
I suggest that we do not get our panties in a bunch just yet. The game is still evolving and things will change. We are not in a position yet to make a good decision.

sure as hell seems liek the easiest though, Groid I challnge you, one on one any map, for chieftan. I mean we also, as I sadi, are gonna need somone whos on more, so thats me or bundy, unless Wang comes out of his coffin

When does the expansion come out? Does anyone know? Or is it not announced. Yes I'm too lazy to go look at blizzards site...
