Firefox 3.0 Final
When DailyTech last reported on Firefox 3.0, Mozilla was still playing around with Beta 3. Since that time, Mozilla released the Beta 4 and Beta 5 iterations along with numerous nightly builds. Over the weekend, however, Firefox 3.0 eked closer to final code with Release Candidate 1 (RC1).
The development of Firefox 3.0 has been a long and steady process, but RC1 gives Mozilla more firepower in its ongoing battle with Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser and to a lesser extent, Safari and Opera.
Firefox 3.0 is built on the Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform and includes better memory management, improved performance, enhanced security features, and improved usability. Other new features include built-in antivirus protection, easier password management, a new download manager and improved integration with Windows and OS X.

Mozilla considers tracking Firefox browsing habits
If they do that, that might be the last time I would use Firefox.

Since Google is financing Mozilla, one way or another the answer is yes.
Sick, isn\'t it.

I think the keywords "voluntary basis" may be relevant to the situation. But then for this sort of situation I paraphrase in the old military axiom of 'never volunteer'.

Re: Firefox 3.0 Final
How about search?
Search engine history has been a touchy subject in the past few years, with privacy concerns not helped much by incidents such as AOL mistakenly exposing the search history of over 650,000 of its users last August.
Google, the Vole and Yahoo have all pledged to upgrade their privacy levels with regards to Internet search history, but, apart from Ask, Google is the only other search engine taking any steps in the direction so far. Earlier this month, Google announced plans to begin anonymising the last eight bits of users’ IP addresses, unless it had been legally ordered not to. Also, at the beginning of this week, the search engine giant revealed that instead of setting web search cookies to expire in 2038, it would expire them after only two years.

Your smurf will expire in only two years.
Until then, perhaps more fiber in your diet would help.

I actually have more problems with the older version of Firefox.
