Problem with XP
*Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, and I'm also a complete PC nub.*
Hey guys. My friend asked me if I could reinstall Windows XP on his Gateway laptop, and I didn't think it would be much of a big deal since I'm running boot camp on my mac, and it wasn't hard to do at all. I backed up his files, and reinstalled the system, and it was running a lot faster than it was before. There seems to be one problem though, because when I tried playing a song it told me there's a problem with the sound device, and that there might not be one installed. In the "Sounds and Device Properties", it says there isn't an audio device. The laptop does have internal speakers btw.
What the hell should I do? I have to give the laptop back to him asap, and I want to give it back in working condition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

download the audio card drivers from Gateway's web site and install them.
