Solution: Convert Publisher to InDesign
Only about a million years after being relevant:
http://www.markzware.com/pub2id/
I've not used and have no need for this plugin, but I've seen plenty of posts looking for it so maybe this will head off the next question.
MarkzWare's Q2ID is another handy one for those rare cases you run into somebody that missed the last train from Quarksville.

Re: Solution: Convert Publisher to InDesign
There was quit the buzz about this a couple months ago. I know a few operators
who swear by it, but having a PC and Publisher 2007 available to me all the time,
I find it easier to keep Pub files native for edits, then go to PDF for imposition. I
have a feeling that this would be pretty sweet for repeat jobs that require extensive
editing (which we don't really do much of here).
Yes, I am a masochist for preferring to work with Publisher. IMO prepress isn't
for the faint of heart

We do the same here. If anything I'll select all, copy to clip board and paste into a brand new Illustrator doc. I get a few pub files a month, I get even more docs and PPT files-
And I print stuff that's 10' x 20 ' and that's average size.

I have that plugin and it rocks! Better late than never...
I also have a windows box with Pub installed but seldom need it anymore.
Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot.
