Help with networking between pc and Macbook PRo
Hi All ,
i am using macbook pro running leopard , at home i have 3 pc's using Windows XP and they connected via router .
When i connect the mac i can see all the pc's and i have access to each one of them and i also have internet . the ip that i get is 192.168.1.4.
My problem is none of the pc's see the mac . i configured the file sharing section in the mac plus all the " share files using SMB " . when i getting to " My Network Places " i don't see any of the shared foldes of the mac but when i am getting into :
ENTIRE NETWORK > MICROSOFT WINDOWS NETWORK > WORKGROUP
i can see there the mac but when i click all i see is PRinters & Faxes .
Any Idea what should i do ?
Thanks

Re: Help with networking between pc and Macbook PRo
Add the WORKGROUP to your network settings that you use on the Mac. It's in the Advanced section of the dialog. Also you have to Share a directory or disk on the Mac and enable sharing.

Re: Help with networking between pc and Macbook PRo
check this article out.
In the network preferences the advanced tab, I believe is where you can set this.
