AOL was a great BBS. They got the bad rep when they started being an internet gateway and flooded the net with a bunch of noobs.

Well, I was one of them....

AOL brought the internet to the masses - just like gateway and compaq brought PCs to the masses.
What got AOL a bad rap IMHO was their constant snail mail spamming of disks and CDs combined with their reluctance to let you cancel the free trials.

Reluctance. *snort*

The difficulties in canceling AOL to move to the new fangled high speed internet (dating myself here) is why I will never use an AOL product again.

Reluctance. There's an understatement.

Oh - they exist.
And it shows how dangerous human cloning can be.

All these women are so similar to porn stars that they even get identical looking photographs taken.

Good thing there are right-minded individuals on these social networking sites, with whom we may strategize and share knowledge.

So does User. Me and User are gonna join that dude's YouTube group. It's a start, ya know? Just one small step in the right direction. Soon there will be a million of us, and our voices will be impossible to....

Actually, I prefer to be called a Crackpot, and don't anticipate earning the label of old  crank before I'm 50. Furthermore, I'm like Herpes or a tattoo in that I never wear off.

Re: Too bad MySpace isn't a brick-and-mortar business...

Wait a minute, y'all's misquoting me! I didn't say nothin' 'bout User's age. Shoot, if I woulda known that, I wouldna been talkin' to User at all! I only communicate on the Internet with individuals who are less than fifteen years old. At least MySpace is useful in that respect. Any older than fifteen? They start axing all kindsa difficult questions...

'Cause if there are any parents, educators, or cops here, I'm leaving and heading over to my new favorite social network, CreepyGuySpace!

Re: Too bad MySpace isn't a brick-and-mortar business...

Aw, damn, AW DAMN! I didn't do nothing! You all gots the wrong ideaz!

Ouch! You're cutting off the circulation in me wristesses!

I gots repetitive strain injuries, 'specially in me right hand!

But you all gots the wrong ideas, an this is clearly entramplement!

Oh, sure, I maybe used bad judgment when I let these precocious youngsters talk to me on the SkypeFace about alla that nonsense, talkin' all that dirty talk like they's grown-up adults an' what-not, talkin' 'bout how they wanna crack they dicks an' all, just like all the "cool kids" these younger teenagers so admire:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sH2qy5B8sBc

Butchew gots to believe me, I only accepted that invite to come on over an' party, an' I only showed up with that case of Pabst Blue Ribbon an' those Bruce LaBruce DVDs 'cause the kids woulda thought I was square otherwise...

Yep, yeppers, by golly! An' once these kids have you pegged as a square, why you've lost them at that point, an' there's no way they're gonna respeck you ore listen or be at all receptive when you try to broach the subject of the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Don't...

Don't you get it?

I'm not the bad guy here...

I's jest trying to build rapport, ya know? Earn their trust like, so's I'd be in a position to introduce these dear, precious waifs to The Lord, that they might have their scruffy li'l faces turned away from temptation and wickedness and turned back towards the light!

GET HIGH ON JESUS, I say!

TUNE IN TO GOD! You know?

What?

I've never seen those French Ticklers before in my life!

Why, one of these confused, young chillunz musta slipped 'em into me fanny pack when I wasn't lookin', just, like, you know, as a really, really funny, totally unexpected prank on ole Brother Bren!

Not that I've ever seen "French Ticklers" before or even know that's what those things're called....

Um....

Would it be OK if I just slipped outta this Girl Scout uniform real quick, an' would you all possibly have any like, men's clothing you could loan me before you take me downtown?

P... please?

Speaking from the benefit of many decades, which I share with user, no.

Your only choices are buck naked, or in the girl scout uniform.

Have a nice day!
