Pasteboard Size In InDesign CS3

We have a client who has sent us some files at work. Their pasteboard is extremely large in the vertical direction, and makes scrolling through the document very annoying.

Does anyone know how to return the pasteboard to the default size? We didn't see anything under the preferences for "Guides and Pasteboard."

Thanks in advance.

It's in preferences on the bottom, "Pasteboard Options" Minimum Vertical Offset, set whatever offset size you want.

Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot.

We saw that yesterday. It was set at 0.5", but it has 17" at top and bottom. We can make it more, but not less. Maybe a plugin they used on their end?

Did they maybe set a giant slug area in Document Setup?

(or quit your noob scrolling and shift+page up/down like the cool kids tongue)

Re: Pasteboard Size In InDesign CS3

Fixed it...page 3 had a guide drawn flush with the bottom of page 3's pasteboard.

Sorry to bother everyone, but at least I learned a new keyboard command (shift + page up/down.)

Re: Pasteboard Size In InDesign CS3

here's another:
cmd+opt+G selects all guides for easy deletion after somebody that doesn't know how to use the shift key and the align/distribute palette has been in your files smile

[Sorry...second thread in a row I've bitched about designers. It's been a rough week already and it's only Tuesday.]
