need help with home networking
hello. i apologize if this issue has been discussed in a previous thread but i have the opportunity to set-up a home network and would like some help with it. i have dsl from my phone company and opted to purchase a wireless modem/router from them. i have my ibook hardwired into it via ethernet as i do not have an airport card for it. my roommate is able to connect via the wireless signal that it broadcasts. what i am wondering is now how do we exchange files between our computers without using "sneaker net"? also, how would i implement network printing as well as network storage? thanky!
btw... i just acquired a sun ultra 10. i know it's way old but what would be some good uses for it? (please spare me the inevitable teasing here, thanks)

printing can go several ways. You can get a Keyspan 4 port USB print server, or something similar. I like that myself. But it requires USB connections and a network through a router. You can make that work without a lot of propblems.
Or you can print through one or the other computer, not the best solution.
As for sharing files, you can both set your computers to share files through a shared folder, on each of your respective computers. Looking Sharing on your system help.
