Re: M.O.A.B. (Mother of all Bombs)
Cyberpawz, people in Bush's cabinet are hardly convincing examples. But I realize this point is going nowhere; I doubt either of us are willing to do the required research to support either side factually. I'm sure you can recognize, however, that your views of the war are atypical of those who have actually experienced war in the way that you claim to have. If you don't want to be attacked for symantics, then address the real issue at hand: account for the logical inconsistencies of your story. If it is true, you'll have no problem doing so. Any other response other than an explanation will only hurt your credibility further, so it is in your best interest to do so. Furthermore, imagine how great it'll be to prove me wrong.
Dragula, what do you mean by "typical"? If you're implying that I was being elitest, that's typical of conservatism, not liberalism. You were probably just using it for retorical effect, but it doesn't work; think about the conotations of the idioms you use.
I specified authors because they are large enough figures for actual research to be done on them. Talking about your friend's dad Jeb who supports the war is both unverifiable and unconvincing. Anyone can write books; you don't have to be someone of importance to be published and becoming published doesn't make you someone of importance.
You asked for an author, I gave you two, you didn't state from where I couldn't...
And as far as I know, Norman Schwarzkopf, is retired, he retired, just after the war...he isn't involved with Bush's war in any way, except for being a speaker at schools who pay him to go there...and he indefinitely not part of Bush's Cabinet.

Now the French are the ones using the swastikas, right? I tried to get you to answer in your rant thread, but you seem to have abandoned it...

There seems to be no news story that corroborates your tale of an "official" and "authorized" French protest containing American flags and swastikas.
You know, the reason you wished a terrorist attack on them.
Such protests did occur in Tokyo...did you see something I didn't, or get your facts mixed up? I have yet to be able to find anything about this "official" protest.

The amusing thing about that is I saw it on Channel 5 around here, but I can't find any information on it online, and it's really miffing me off... it's as if everyone is trying to say it never happened...
Only place I have found flag burning with swastika was in Brazil....

I don't know, but I have issue with news that states something, but can never find anything about it after the fact....

Re: M.O.A.B. (Mother of all Bombs)
I did find something...but it's very vague...and it really pisses me off that it seems that this had not gotten more play for whatever reason...even though it is not exactly what I'm looking for, it's the act itself that has not recieved more play than a footnote in a online magazine...
Foreign entanglements
Incomprehensible
I watched with absolute amazement and utter disgust the series of anti-war protests held in our nation and across Europe. To see pictures held high of our president with a Hitler mustache drawn on his face, to see banners held high proclaiming "Bush = Terrorist" and especially to see the United States flag held by these protesters with a swastika painted on the stripes is incomprehensible.
The people of Europe, especially France and Germany: How soon you forget your history. You are nothing more than cowards and socialists. To the citizens of our great country who do this: You are nothing more than traitors, and how soon you forget our history. Remember 9-11.
They say nothing about burning the flags, but still, this is an act in itself, which really is not one that should be taken lightly.
