Intel iMac Leopard Freezing question

Hey all....my gf is having some iMac freezing up issues.

Background:  Intel iMac  > upgraded to Leopard  > HD recently went wacky (bad nodes, stopped recognizing)  >  wiped and reinstalled Tiger  > upgraded to Leopard

It worked like a champ for about a week.  Now it likes to give a spinning beach ball after pretty much every click or action.

Any ideas?  Spotlight issue?  HD still fuxxored?

Thanks!

Re: Intel iMac Leopard Freezing question

Yeah, it sounds like the HD is failing here.  Leopard has a tendency to ruin them with its psychotic power-management "features."

Re: Intel iMac Leopard Freezing question

I have been having a rather similar issue; it turned out that my RAM needed to be reseated, as it was slightly kinda loose.  I would also try installing Leopard directly, instead of installing Tiger first, then upgrading, as something could be going ever-so-slightly wrong with the upgrade.  If not, then I hope you are still covered by AppleCare.
