Maclife quality is sinking
Lately the Maclife web site is full of misspell or grammar error or just plain non-sense: http://www.maclife.com/article/pixelmator_1_1_4
Look at the plus and con, does it make sense
The bottom line. Pixelmator is a decent first attempt at creating an affordable image editor, but Photoshop Elements 6 (4 out of 5 stars, Jun/08, p58) offers a more robust toolset and enhanced capabilities for only $30 more. If your budget is tight enough that $30 is a deal breaker, download Pixelmator’s 30-day trial version to see if the Core Image filters offer enough value to compel you to add it to your toolbox.
COMPANY: Pixelmator Team Ltd.
CONTACT: http://www.pixelmator.com/
PRICE: $59
REQUIREMENTS: Mac OS 10.4 or later
+ Briefly fun before it grows repetitive. Weapon and boat upgrades gives sense of progress. Certain ships and tiny character photos true to movies.
- Even wind direction has little affect on unrealistic sailing. Boring pacing between waypoints. Easily sinkable enemies pose little threat.
just realized it's in the wrong place, please move where it belongs

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather--who died peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Re: Maclife quality is sinking
The issue is being corrected.
I apologize for the misspellings on the site as of late. In the interest of making the site more relevant, I've ramped up the amount of content that is posted to the site. When I arrived the site would typically post two, maybe three items a day. Most of those items were directly from the magazine.
My goal is to post 7-8 items a day and to grow that number within the next month. That's not an excuse for errors, but as we grow there are going to be some growing pains.
Previous to MacLife.com, I worked at a site with 30+ postings a day and over 200 million hits a month. With four eyes on every post before it went live, there were still spelling and grammar errors. It's the nature of posting as quickly as possible on the internet.
Please be patient with us as we move forward and if you see an error that I've missed, don't hesitate to point it out.
I'm also working on my Rob Capps prison guy scowl. Just in case.

Oh, and just to make myself feel better.
I find spelling errors on WSJ.com and Time.com all the time.

The html errors are funnier, though.

I hear it's akin to BBCode, but even scarier.

I mostly mean when you're supposed to see a " or ' and it comes out a O with a funny line. Not sure what that character is called, but I see it a lot.
