Bridging a Linksys WRT54G and RTP300 in plain English?
Can it be done?
We have two routers connected to our Verizon internet creation modem device hanging on the wall.
A WRT54G 802.11g wireless router with 4 ports.
A RTP300 router with two phone ports and 4 ethernet ports that is used for our phone service. (Not wireless)
The WRT is connected to the modem directly then has the RTP300 phone router connected to one of its 4 ports. The other three are taken up by various devices that for one reason or another need to be wired and don't have the option of being wireless.
But I need more ports. The RTP300 has four that aren't even used. How can I sort of merge the two of them into one network so devices on the one can talk to the other and it's like I just have one single wireless router with 7 ports?
They're all Linksys.
I can get into the main WRT's configuration page. But can't get into the other one.

Have you tried hooking up a computer directly to the RTP router and then trying to get to the configuration page?

Remember how I was having trouble with an Airport a while ago? Well, it turned out that we had to call Verizon and have them reset something on their end to even get our LinkSys to work. (I tried an Airport back when we still had a working ActionTec router. When that died I had to get any router I could so I chose the LinkSys, but it wouldn't even connect to the internet without Verizon's help on their end.)
Even if I could get to the RTP300's config page, I wouldn't even know what to do. That's what I'm asking.
What settings do I need to do. Step by step to get the two of them acting like one router. I just need more ports! More ethernet ports. That's all I need. My wired devices have outnumbered my available ports.

Nevermind. I think I got it. Will do more testing in real-world tests.
One thing I noticed though is when I hooked up my 360 to see if it worked with that during the "testing" of the connection it showed "Moderate" under NAT. Clicking "More info" says "If your router or gateway is using a moderate or strict NAT, replace it with an Xbox LIVE compatible device." I'll probably just connect the Xbox to the other router anyway but I hope this isn't going to cause a problem for the computers I connect to it. What's NAT?

Re: Bridging a Linksys WRT54G and RTP300 in plain English?
Nope. That doesn't do anything.
The wireless WRT54G can see the internet.
The wired RTP300 with two phone ports can also see the internet. (I can connect a computer or Xbox to it and they'll go out to the internet fine.)
But they can't see each other.
What do I have to turn on to turn on bridge mode? I can access the config page now. That problem is gone. There still exists the problem of what to do from there. I have looked through every page in the settings and nothing says bridge. It must be named differently. Do I have to open a port or something?
