Norton Anti-virus for both platforms?

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a new iMac.  I am probably going to use both the Mac and PC platform with it.  Obviously, I'll need to buy a PC operating system to make that part of it go.  My main question is this:  Will I have to buy separate anti-virus software for the Mac and PC, or is there a product that will do it for both if they are on the same computer?

No they don't make a hybrid versions and avoid Norton at all costs especially for Mac. It's as bad if not worse than many types of malware. I made that mistake and literally had to take similar step to remove Norton from my Mac to what one has to do to remove malware. On top of that it eats into your resources like crazy and has on occasion been knowi to get infected itself. On the Mac side, practicing safe computing will currently serve you better than any AV software but if you want a scanner, ClamXav is dollar for dollar the best you can get.

For Windows I've been using Kaspersky, been (mostly) happy with how it works. As for the mac, I don't currently run anti-stuff software on it.
