Free Apps, but what do they do, exactly?

So after reading one of the new Mac|Life articles, I stumbled across some extra apps that look like they could be quite helpful, but I don't exactly understand what they do. Anyone here use them or know what they're all about?

Also, anyone know what the differences are between OnyX and Cocktail (besides the cost)? I've used Cocktail for a while now and love it, but it's interesting to notice a competitor.

Deeper is akin to TinkerTool
and
Maintenance is akin to Onyx, Cocktail, Yasu and others.

Mac Intel Folding members should get the latest install now.  Your Intel Macs may have stopped folding.   Get the download, install and activate Folding in System Preferences.  download thread
