Reworking network
I have had a network set up with dsl modem(Westel) connected to GreyFox router and OnQ wireless connected to that. On-Q dies (pos) so I dig out an Airport base station and connect in the place of the OnQ. Am able to get on via wireless, great...but after computer sleeps no connection, have to turn off base station to get on. Then tried to connect via ethernet, no go. Had to unplug base station, restart modem and router. Is the airport base station just not compatible to this configuration. A friend has offered a Netopia wireless router but not sure if that will work either. Any guidance would be appreciated:confused:

Re: Reworking network
1) Is the base station in connection sharing mode, or bridge mode? Set it to bridge mode. If you can't explain why you want to have multiple DHCP servers on the same LAN, you probably shouldn't have multiple DHCP servers on the same LAN.
2) What wireless clients have the problem - have you tried more than one? Sometimes a firmware update will fix things like that. Usually, the wireless connection is always "there", emenating from the base station. If the laptop is set up correctly, it should reaquire when it wakes from sleep. Windows, especially pre-SP2, is known to be kind of finicky with wireless networks though.

Re: Reworking network
I tried bridge. I can get wireless but ethernet connections not working. I have GreyFox router because I have several computers that need to connect via ethernet then have one laptop that needs wireless. I'm sure I'm just missing somthing simple.
