Numeric pad on the left

I have thought of this for a while, and it struck me once again..

Keyboard - numeric pad - mouse; make a quite off centered keyboard.

Right now my "enter" key is placed close to the center of my screen (20"), which I find little ergonomical.
For heavy number typers I can understand assigning it to the right hand, but I believe that's a minority amongst us..

Anyone else would consider the numeric pad at the left? Are there any good reason it shouldn't be so? Has it been done before?

Re: Numeric pad on the left

I am left handed and think its cool that lefty keyboards are made, but its kind of a waste of money.  I used to use my mouse with my left hand, but going to school and working I ended up using so many right handed computers that I grew tired of re-configuring every computer I sat down at, so now even at home I do all my computing right handed.

funny; never saw that.
However, my point is that these should be for right handed people; as it would permit a more centered keyboard.

Hendrix just turned a regular guitar over, too.

Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.
