Too Much Knowledge About a co-worker
So I am sitting around the luch table with my co-workers and I get let in on some info that really, really bugs me about a guy who works where I do.
Get this: Last year he was having a problem with his collection of dogs and decided to get rid of a few. To accomplish this he fed the doomed dogs smurfing anti-freeze and sat by for a few days wile te poor things died from the poison!
I cant even hardly look at this smurf now. Just walking by him makes me feel dirty. Fortunately he is one of the shops low skilled peons so I am able to ignore him for the most part but truth be told I would love to stomp him into the floor.
The evil cruelty of poisoning a couple of dogs and just letting them suffer for days...
You have to be some kind of soulless psychotic to commit such an act.

Re: Too Much Knowledge About a co-worker
What do you consider a proper killing of dogs to be? Clearly, antifreeze is inappropriate. Euthanasia at a vet? Bullet to the brain?
I think this guy either just wanted to see what would happen or was too cheap to use more than a few cents worth of antifreeze. Can you turn him in?

Of course you also need to consider the possibility the whole story is a load of crap invented by malicious idiots.

Both the euthanasia and bullet are better ways to kill an animal using poison but I prefer Fracai's solutions. They at least give the animals a chance to live and a more humane death if it fails.

Re: Too Much Knowledge About a co-worker
Yeah, the original post is a bit ambiguous as to who said what and whether it was about someone else or about themselves.
Certainly if it is true the guy should be reported to the Police and/or SPCA or Humane Society. Maybe a local television station would be interested if it is a slow news day?

I got the story from a couple of guys I trust, they arent your typical rumor mongers and let me know on a sort of "heads up" way of being helpful.
The idea of poisoning dogs and then watching them suffer and die for days just offends me to the very core of my being. That is an act of evil, genuine right here evil.
I already thought tis guy was kinda odd and now knowing this I am sickened by him.
Fortunately I am in the position at work where I dont need to see him much, which is a good thing. I cannot abide cruelty.

Par doesn't have anything but hearsay. He can't turn him in.
"Do you agree that the magical potency of today's ceremony is exactly equal to the magical efficacy of ceremonial baptism with dihydrogen oxide, and do you agree that the power of all magical ceremonies is nonexistent?" After a resounding "amen" from the audience, the first person in line yelled, "Dry me brother! I'm free!"

Indeed and while the hearsay may be credible it is still hearsay.

People that torture/kill animals or humans have been born without a soul. They lack something inside that makes them human.
I'd steer clear of this smurf. If I didn't, I'd do something to him that I and he/she would regret.

He can report what he has heard, qualifying it as 2nd hand, and let the authorities sort it out.

Re: Too Much Knowledge About a co-worker
If he didn't hear it from the guy's mouth, then its not necessarily true. Stories can get twisted around and mis-heard. Haven't any of you played that game where everyone lines up and the first person tells the second one something and it keeps getting passed down through the line? It never comes out the other end the same as what it started with.
I've heard some pretty disturbing things about other people, only to find out it was completely untrue. I would corner this guy and ask him straight out if its true or not (perhaps the dogs got into the stuff themselves). Only then can you think about reporting it.

I know what you mean.
I heard a horrible rumor about some dairy farmer in Wisconsin. They say he actually *likes* Jeeps. Can't possibly be true.

No, real farmers run Deere and there aren't any in Wisconsin.
