Photo archiving software

I do Photoshop work all day and have many files to archive. Up till now I have used Photo Relay to archive. Unfortunately they don't make it for OSX anymore.
Any suggestions on photo archive software that you use and like. I can't think of anything built into Photoshop that would work. I have never been fond of iPhoto.
I wish there was something that would read my Photo Relay archives since I have years of work archived with that program!!

Re: Photo archiving software

OK, I will give this a shot. I have a small photo business (20yrs). I have an external HD to which all my original work is archived (much easier to search from there than a CD). I also archive to two CD-Rs on a regular basis. When I get enough of those I then fill a DVD+R. Sooo you can see that I have, perhaps, a little overkill going on.

Some of my CDs are 5 and 6 yrs. old and still readable.

I use a photo service in Tucson, AZ for my bulk work and those files are also burned to a CD.

Remember nothing is permanent!!!!! I have slides taken back in the 60s (yes I am that old) that have color shifts. I have begun to scan those into a digital format that perhaps will be around a little longer without color degradation.

Re: Photo archiving software

I have been archiving to DVD but think you might have a better idea backing up to HD to make files easier to find!

Thanks!
