Re: MobileMe Goes Live Wednesday

I still can't get the iCal-ish section to load, but at least I can access the rest now.

But at least my email has worked throughout the confusion.  And once the dust settles, I'll be able to use a one-character-shorter email address.  (I wonder... will Apple start offering m.com email in another eight and a half years?)

In addition to having the latest Tiger or Leopard version, software update also shows a specific MobileMe update.  Haven't loaded it yet myself.  I'm going to wait a week or so for everything to settle down.  And for me the issue isn't iCal it's Contacts.

iCal is now working perfectly for me.  I will say that the visual improvements are fab.

The MobileMe update still isn't showing up for me, but everything I've tried on the me.com site works.

Re: MobileMe Goes Live Wednesday

For the most part, I think MobileMe is up and running now, I have a few galleries that I've uploaded from iPhoto, synced my Contacts and my iCal, and put some stuff on the iDisk.  My account is confused about how much space I have, though - My MobileMe system preferences says I have 10gb but online it says I have 20gb.  Letter other users download files from your iDisk still doesn't work - one of the features that I'd really like to start using soon.  Overall MobileMe seems to be a bit slower than .Mac...  We'll give it a few days/weeks, though, and see how things are going!

Have people tried out the Push email, contacts, etc?  How is that going?  No iPhone for me..

I think it (MobileMe) automatically divides the 20gb between mail and the iDisk.  Online you can change the ratio.

Re: MobileMe Goes Live Wednesday

Yesterday I was showing that I had 22.5 GB -- now I have 20.5

Also, I'm still on 10.4.11 and the new MobilMe (which clearly states it works with 10.4.11) 1.1 update only works for folks with 10.5
